Team SpaceInvader supports Alzheimer's Society at the Great Manchester Run
John Williams celebrates completing the Great Manchester Run after surpassing his fundraising target for Alzheimer's Society.
Members of Team SpaceInvader took to the streets of Manchester this weekend to support Alzheimer's Society as part of the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run.
Founder and Director John Williams completed the Half Marathon, raising more than £3,750 for Alzheimer's Society and far exceeding his original fundraising target. Alongside John, Interior Designer Ellie Stewart also took part in the 10K event, representing SpaceInvader on a day that saw thousands of runners come together in support of charities and good causes.
The fundraising effort attracted support from a large number of donors, helping raise vital funds for Alzheimer's Society's work supporting people affected by dementia and funding research into the condition.
Reflecting on the achievement, John thanked everyone who contributed to the fundraising campaign and helped surpass the original target.
The impact of the fundraising was recognised by Alzheimer's Society, who shared their thanks with John, Ellie and everyone involved in supporting the challenge.
"Every pound raised helps us continue supporting people affected by dementia and funding vital research."
The Great Manchester Run remains one of the UK's largest running events, bringing together participants from across the country to raise awareness and funding for a wide range of charitable causes.
While SpaceInvader is best known for creating people-focused environments across workplace, hospitality, civic and community sectors, supporting local communities and causes that make a difference remains equally important.
Congratulations to John and Ellie on their achievement, and thank you to everyone who donated, supported and cheered them on throughout the challenge.
