Ten years after first opening its doors, Hilton London Bankside is entering its next chapter and SpaceInvader is shaping the interiors for its 76-room expansion, including new guest rooms, suites and a penthouse.

Working in close collaboration with Splendid Hospitality Group and Studio Moren, the design draws inspiration from the creativity and cultural richness of Bankside, just moments from the Tate Modern and River Thames. Our goal: to create interiors that feel rooted in their surroundings, while offering the elevated comfort expected from a leading London hotel.

Materiality, detailing and tone are all carefully considered. From bespoke joinery to layered finishes, every element is designed to enhance the guest experience with subtle references to local icons throughout. The expansion builds on the hotel’s original identity, refined, contemporary, and full of character.

Sustainability and technology also play a key role. In line with Hilton’s Travel with Purpose strategy, the interiors incorporate eco-conscious materials, sensor lighting, and integrated smart tech, contributing to the hotel’s Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) accreditation.

This is more than just an expansion, it’s a continuation of a legacy. A blend of quiet luxury, purposeful design and place-aware thinking that will serve guests for years to come.
