The Alliance Suite is a recent addition to Birmingham City’s St. Andrew’s Stadium, following the club’s acquisition by its new owners. Our objective was to create a beautifully designed new suite which reflects the club’s prospects under new ownership.

The Alliance tells the story of Birmingham City’s early days as a club.

Interior of a sports lounge with circular tables, velvet chairs, a large wall display with historical football team photos and text, a large window showing a football stadium outside, and decorative lighting on the ceiling.

Formed as a small heath alliance in 1875, the original members were a team of cricketers who came together to form a football team with the intention to fill their time and maintain fitness levels during the cold winter months. Aiding this level of storytelling, we created nods to the club’s cricketing past throughout the suite in subtle ways, for example fluted finishes represent cricketer’s knee pads.

Modern bar and lounge with a balcony, illuminated by blue neon lights, featuring a curved bar with beer taps and bar stools, and a glass-enclosed area with dining tables and chairs.

A circular bar is a focal point of the suite, with smaller pockets of space branching off from this to create more intimate settings for diners. Feature lighting details are bold and unapologetically blue, to signify the strength of the club and set the precedent for the experience of the additional new suites to follow.

Modern indoor seating area with black marble table, blue upholstered booths, wall shelves with plants and decorative items, and a TV showing a news program. Large glass door with outdoor seating area visible.
View of a stadium's executive box with a view of the football field, seating, and a row of tables and chairs inside the box.
