Eastbrook is a workplace environment that is adaptive and responsive to employees’ individual needs thanks to it’s spaces that are comfortable and diverse.

The client brief was to design and deliver an open plan office space that is simple, functional and modern. The internal environment required density with “buzz” to encourage collaboration, and the workplace areas needed to create a community which has common shared areas with a collegiate feel.

“This is one of the best project teams I’ve worked with in my 30+ years of project delivery. They were enthusiastic, proactive and dedicated to working in collaboration with the Client team, demonstrating throughout the process, an utter commitment to complete the project to an incredibly high standard, on time and ultimately below budget.”

Andrew Smith, AstraZeneca, Head of Project and Program Management (Cambridge)

The design contributes to AstraZeneca’s long term aspirations to promote collaboration among key functions, improve space utilisation and collaboration through use of open-plan workspaces and activity based working, and create high-density spaces with central hub as a focal point.

There is a fully functioning restaurant and town hall events space, an on-site occupational health clinic, dedicated cycling hubs with storage and changing facilities, treadmill meeting rooms and indoor cycling collaboration settings.

In order to promote agile working, good connectivity is paramount to support not only the teams on the ground, but to ensure seamless communication to function as a global organisation. Every space and setting is IT enabled which offers true choice of where to work that best suits the needs of an employee.
