Bauhaus
Quay Street, Manchester

In the heart of Manchester, Bauhaus is an impressive Grade A office building providing creative, functional space for modern working.

The brief was to create a sophisticated, high-end office space that incorporated a co-working lounge with informal meeting spaces and private work areas in a way which inspires productivity and wellbeing.

Emphasis was placed on natural materials and cool warm hues with an abundance of planting aimed to create tranquil pockets of serenity.

This doesn't work,
Bauhaus

The refurbishment of Bauhaus on Quay Street was an opportunity for SpaceInvader to apply the knowledge & understanding of Well Standards to a CAT A project – the first in the UK.

At the heart of the space, the co-working space balances functionality for business and a social lounge for collaborative working. The ground floor and mezzanine were transformed to provide a social space for all the tenants to enjoy with a wide variety of work settings. The lounge provides a space where visitors could use before and after meetings and is proving to be a great success.

Emphasis was placed on natural materials and cool warm hues with an abundance of planting aimed to create tranquil pockets of serenity. We continue to work with the client on the building with plans for a roof garden and cycle store and showers.
