Gavin King, Director and Higher Education Lead at SpaceInvader will be joining a panel of experts at the Education Update event organised by Place North West.
Held at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester on the 7th of November, the event focuses on the rapid expansion of schools, and universities changing the face of our towns and cities. The panellists will discuss how to break into this ever-growing sector and ensure that the projects and plans are future proofed to enable the effective education of the generations to come.
Gavin will be providing an update on the interior design view including current trends, how spaces are being used more efficiently and what can be learnt from other sectors. He will discuss how good use of space can ease the pressure universities are under and aid educational targets.
The panel discussion will be chaired by Jessica Middleton-Pugh, editor of Place North West and Gavin will be joined by Steve Jordan, head of capital projects from the University of Manchester, Penny Macbeth, dean of Manchester School of Art at Manchester Metropolitan University and Michael Ahern, chief operating officer at UCLAN.
Gavin has 25 years’ experience of designing inspirational commercial environments for leading UK organisations such as ITV, KPMG, and the BBC. Gavin leads the Workplace Consultancy offer whilst driving the research and implementation behind SpaceInvader’s workplace strategy and change management processes. He is currently working with a number of establishments across the higher education sector.
