Discover the Power of Lighting in Workplace Design

Overbury Manchester office lighting design by SpaceInvader featured in Material Source

Overbury Manchester office lighting design featured in Material Source

Lighting is making headlines again. Following its cover appearance in A1 Lighting Magazine, Overbury’s Manchester office is now featured by Material Source, with our Senior Interior Designer James Lait exploring how lighting elevates workplace design.

From a nautilus-inspired ceiling installation to carefully planned ambient zones, every lighting decision in this project was intentional. Designed with Light Forms, the scheme balances sculptural impact with function, creating spaces that support focus, collaboration, and wellbeing.

“We wanted every element, especially the lighting, to contribute to a balanced, inspiring environment,” says James.

The design incorporates low-carbon materials, energy-efficient solutions, and biophilic details, proving that sustainability and beauty can coexist.

We’re proud to see Overbury’s Manchester workspace continue to be recognised as an example of how lighting transforms not only interiors but also the experience of the people within them.
