SpaceInvader shapes next chapter of hospitality design at Hilton London Bankside
Guestroom interior at Hilton London Bankside
SpaceInvader is working with Splendid Hospitality Group on the interior design for a major expansion at Hilton London Bankside, a project that continues our approach to hotel interiors shaped by place, purpose and experience.
Set to complete in early 2026, the extension will add 76 rooms, including new guestroom types, suites, and a rooftop penthouse, taking the hotel to 368 rooms in total. While the expansion introduces new amenities and skyline views, our focus as hospitality designers has been on how the interiors feel, function and perform for the people who use them.

The design continues the story established in the original concept but introduces a more expressive layer, rooted in the creative energy of Bankside and attuned to how guests travel, work and rest today. From considered materiality and tailored lighting to sculptural forms and bespoke detailing, each space has been shaped to support a calm, characterful experience.
Sustainability is embedded throughout, in line with Hilton’s Travel with Purpose strategy. Eco-conscious materials, smart technology and integrated sensor lighting all contribute to the hotel’s Global Sustainable Tourism Council accreditation, while also enhancing the day-to-day guest journey.
On the ninth floor, a collection of standout suites including wellness-focused and Peloton-enabled room types, will offer views across the London skyline, providing new options for leisure and business travellers alike.
This isn’t simply an increase in rooms, it’s a natural evolution of Hilton Bankside, designed to meet the needs of the next decade.
The project was recently featured in Sleeper Magazine, highlighting key design elements and guestroom evolution. Read the editorial here.
