In the refurbishment of 40 Spring Gardens, we sought to give the space a new lease of life and reflect its prestigious sought-after address. A concept inspired by transitions and changing seasons translates into fluid lighting forms which change in temperature as desired.

The design considers the user journey with an emphasis on flow, transition, drama and intrigue in order to leave a lasting impression. The concept is inspired by the season of spring in particular and its associations with freshness and new growth, which is applied to the space through texture, form, lighting and colour palette.

Modern lounge area with a beige sofa, two armchairs, a round coffee table with a plant, and small side tables. There are four semi-private booths with tables in the background, and a large illuminated window on the right. The space has a minimalist design with neutral colors and sleek furniture.

One of the project’s standout features is a hanging lighting installation which is viewed at the beginning of the journey upon entry to the space. Its fluid forms reflect the design intent perfectly and are made up of tuneable white LEDs to change colour temperature throughout the day, mimicking circadian rhythms.

Lounge seating and booths provide breakout settings for tenants to use as desired. A range of sizes is provided to accommodate individual working and small to large groups.
