We have carefully selected each and every colleague based upon their individual market-leading expertise and track record whether they have been in the industry for years, or are fresh out of university. So, if you are looking for a team with the vision to see how a former WW1 arms factory could be refurbished and reused as a Cat A head office or a team with the creativity to convert a 19th century mansion into a boutique hotel, we've got it covered.

John Williams

One of the founding directors, John has worked as a residential and commercial interior designer for more than 15 years. His career spans two continents and has seen him mastermind the refurbishment of Manchester Central Library, the launch of a new luxury co-working office space provider, the transformation of a Victorian mansion into a boutique hotel and the development of an exclusive beach house in LA.

Gavin King

Gavin has 25 years’ experience of designing inspirational commercial environments for the likes of ITV, KPMG, Direct Line and HMRC. Most notably, he successfully coordinated the large consultant team and change management programme behind the BBC’s move to MediaCityUK. Gavin, who joined SpaceInvader as a director in 2013, continues to hone his expertise in strategic workplace consultancy and leads project teams on long-term briefs including AstraZeneca’s global property portfolio.

Sarah Dodsworth

A Mix Interiors ‘Rising Star’, Sarah has ten years’ experience of working for large architect practices based in the North. At SpaceInvader she specialises in workplace consultancy and Cat B fit-out design for the likes of AstraZeneca, CBRE and The Co-operative Bank. Sarah’s scheme for AstraZeneca’s Da Vinci building in Cambridge, which transformed the way employees utilised their workspace, was shortlisted for the National BCO Innovation Award in 2015.

Catherine Marson

Catherine joined the design team in 2016 after 20 years in the print and packaging industry working with key retail and brand owners across the globe. Catherine oversees our key retail accounts leading the design teams in Nottingham, Sale and London developing best practice and strategic account management.

Katie Edgar

Katie joined SpaceInvader in 2014 she quickly became an invaluable member of the team and a key designer on hospitality, leisure and residential projects. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in these sectors, Katie’s current jobs include the development of a new hotel brand, a re-design for one of Manchester’s most iconic bars and the transformation of a Victorian mansion into a luxury boutique hotel.

Jason Oak

Jason has grown with the business, working with SpaceInvader since 2011 and has over 10 years’ experience in the construction industry. Having designed and delivered key projects in workplace, commercial and education sectors, Jason has proven his versatility in applying his skills for a broad range of clients including PA Consulting, Regatta, University of Manchester and Savills. His projects have been Shortlisted for 2 BCO regional awards, whilst winning FX magazine's prestigious UK Project award in 2015.

Paul Edgar

Paul heads up our technical and BIM team and is responsible for all technical drawing packages and on site presence during construction, snagging and handover. Before joining SpaceInvader, Paul gained his vast experience during his 15 year employment at an international architects practice. Joining the team in 2015, he has proven to be a valuable senior member of the team.

Nicola Warburton

Nicola has 10 years’ experience and combines her wealth of commercial knowledge with an eye for beautiful design. The outcome is always one of perfect balance between a client’s budget and aspirations. With a nomination for a BCO Award outstanding, Nicola continues to work on some our largest CAT B schemes with involvement in a number of CAT A and student residential schemes as well.

Adam Durrant

Adam joined SpaceInvader in early 2014 and has been largely involved in significant landlord works for listed buildings as well as workplace design for large commercial organisations such as CBRE and Savills. He has now accumulated 9 years across an in depth spectrum of projects in hospitality & commercial sector. In his interior design career prior to SpaceInvader, Adam was heavily involved in delivering hospitality projects across the UK including AccorHotels Group and Malmaison Hotels.
